Group C Sports Car Icon - Porsche 956 by ~BrySkye
Made from 23 8.3 megapixel screenshots, sharpened a touch and then scaled down to 1857x1080, so hopefully its a very clean pic.
This is the Porsche 956, one of the many radical cars to come from Group C Sports Car racing in the 1980s.
Although not as insane as the Group B Rally cars, this were still monsters from a time before the massive push to improve the safety of motorsport following the death of Ayrton Senna in 1994.
The Porsche 956 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on its very first try.
To this day, it still holds the record for the fastest ever lap of the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife, completing the 14km circuit in a staggering 6 minutes and 11 seconds.
That’s an average speed of 129mph on a circuit with 154 turns.
Should probably finish off by putting this on here as well.
I’ve been shamelessly self-promoting it all over twitter. =p
My first video using any Forza Motorsport game.
Alistair Griffin provides the soundtrack with his single “Just Drive”.
I combined both the original single with the newly arranged version he made for the Sky F1 opening sequence.
This one is dedicated to Anthony Davidson, Martin Brundle and his son, Alex Brundle.
You’re all great blokes and I’m cheering all three of you on.
Best of luck!
Thanks also to Alistair himself for the kind words about the video, and not threatening to sue!

Group B Rally Showdown between the Audi Quattro S1 and the Ford RS200.

Audi Quattro S1, Group B Rally Car.
From the new February DLC pack for Forza 4.
I’ve learnt a few more things about how the photo mode really works in Forza 4, specifically how to use the focus slider properly, so hopefully I’ll be able to make them a bit more interesting now.

Ah, the Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205.
This car holds a special place for me in gaming lore. Draped in this Castrol livery, it became one of the first completely recognisable real life cars in a video game.
I am of course referring to the original Sega Rally Championship arcade machine and its subsequent Sega Saturn port.
Along with the Martini Racing Lancia Delta HF Intergrale and the Alitalia Lancia Stratos, you have some of the most iconic cars in both the history of gaming and rally racing.
Forza still doesn’t really have any proper off-road rally, but you can ‘fake it’ for photos like this. Taken from one of the gravel traps around the famous Circuit de la Sarthe, better known for the annual endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Climbing up twisty Japanese mountain roads, in a Nissan GT-R, with Mt Fuji in the background.
Nothing more to say about that.

Audi Sport Quattro, in Group B Rally Car trim, upgraded and tuned to Group B spec.
Parked up on the side of the road as the sun sets over some lovely Spanish mountains.
Keeping the Forza theme going. The November Speed Pack is now available from the XBL Marketplace although, typically, its not yet listed in-game for season pass holders!

The pinnacle of production car excellence, the Bugatti Veyron.
A perfect blend of mind blowing performance, yet somehow comfortable and luxurious.
Shock and awe, at rest.

Last Forza 4 upload for today, an action orientated shot.
A Peugeot 207 Super 2000 Rally car, sliding around and generally making a mess of the grassy fields around Dunsfold Park, better known as the Top Gear Test Track.
I have to give credit to Turn 10 Studios. Not only have they done a great job of recreating the track, they have also given a certain amount of freedom to go somewhat beyond its confines.
This is in comparison to Gran Turismo 5 which has invisible walls that very closely border the track. Unlike Polyphony, Turn 10 also decided to recreate the actual camera angles used by Top Gear in the replay mode. Its a small detail, but that’s what helps brings it all together.
Gran Turismo 5 acknowledges Top Gear. Forza Motorsport 4 embraces it to a far fuller extent, integrating it into much of the experience.
That said, I am very disappointed that Turn 10 failed to update Silverstone.
The track listed in the game as the “Grand Prix Circuit” is in fact the old Silverstone layout, which hasn’t held an actual F1 Grand Prix since before Forza 3 came out!
Hell, it actually seems to have been lifted out of Forza 3, with no sign of all the new facilities, instead showing signs of construction work.
That’s a huge shame and makes the game feel really quite dated.
The new Silverstone featured in Codemasters Formula One 2010 over a year ago, so there is really no excuse.
…anyway, click for HD 1080p size.

The legendary Le Man winning Ford GT40 MkII, in racing trim and Gulf Racing livery.
A big American engine and money combined with British racing chassis engineering in a winning combination that took the fight to Ferrari and thrashed them where it hurts: the race track.
Oh, and its sitting in the Top Gear studio.

First screenshot upload from Forza 4 for me here on Tumblr.
Turn10 and Microsoft have upped the game in terms of being able to take quality screenshots in a 3840x2160 bitmap format.
All they need to do now is let us save them to a USB stick rather than go through the Forza website!
Forza 3 (X360)
Bit of a gaming cross-over here. This is a user-created livery for the Koenigsegg CCGT that features sponsorship from Traxus Heavy Industries, a massive corporation in the Halo universe that appears throughout the series.
Looks quite smart, in my opinion.
